Kheema with Capsicum



Im sure you are going to love this one.You can make atleast 10 different dishes with minced meat (kheema), one of them is Kheema with  Capsicum.

Ingredients:

Minced Meat : 1/2 Kg
Capsicum :2-3 Big ones,cut into small pieces.
Green Chillies :2-3
Kothmir/Coriander leaves : a bunch
Pudina/Mint leaves :10 leaves
Onions : 2 big ones thinly sliced

Masala :
Salt : According to taste
Turmeric pwdr : 1/2 Teaspoon
Red chilli Pwdr :1 teaspoon
Ginger Garlic Paste : 1 table spoon
Oil : 2 tbl spoon






















Method  
  • Pressure cook minced meat with a pinch of turmeric,a pinch of ginger garlic paste a pinch of salt for 2-4 whistles.
  • Take a Non-Stick sauce pan and add oil,put thinly sliced onions and fry it till they get transparent.
  • Add salt,ginger garlic paste ,turmeric pwdr,red chilli pwdr and add pressure cooked minced meat.Stir it for 10 mints atleast ,the oil should start extracting from the corners.
  • Add capsicum pieces,green chillies,kothmir,pudina leaves and leave it on medium flame for 10 mints....
ITS READY :)
TIP: Instead of capsicum,you add,Beans,Muttor,Potatoes,Cauliflower too.
Also make khatti daal as a side dish for this,can have this with Roti and Rice too.Mostly plain rice.







Tomato Chutney


Hello Everyone,

I just of thought of posting the recipe for Tomato Chutney.I  luvvvvvv this dish as its quick n very easy to make, this is the first dish which i have learnt from my Mommy when i was in 6th or 7th standard.I was very picky and fussy about vegies when i was i young,so whenever my mom use to make vegies n all so i use to cook tomato chutney for myself and use to have it with rice (never use to skip my food :)

So let me start with my fav dish Tomato Chutney......


                                                     Ingredients :
Tomatoes-6-8 (always use desi tomatoes for this dont use Roma Tomatoes or Banglori Tomatoes)
Karya Paak/Curry leaves:10 leaves
Green Chillies : 2 long
kothmir/Coriander Leaves :just for garnishing

Tadka:
Zeera/Cumin Seeds : one teaspoon
Oil : 2 table Spoon
Rai (mustard seeds): Half Teaspoon
Dried Red Chillies : 2
Garlic :One or 2 pieces

Masala:
Salt :1 teaspoon or according to your taste
Red Chilli Pwdr : 1 teaspoon
Turmeric :1/4th teaspoon
Ginger Garlic Paste:1 Teaspoon          

Method
  • Take a kadhai/Pan and pour oil in it ,add Tadka ingredients and let it fry for a while.(add curry leaves in the last)
  • Add tomatoes,and the Masalas( salt,red chilli pwdr,ginger garlic paste,turmeric pwdr),Stir it and leave it on medium flame for 15 -20 mints till the tomatoes get tender.
  • Keep Stirring it every now n then

  • Add Kothmir/Coriander Leaves and Green Chillies and leave it for 10 mints.

Yummy Tomato chutney is ready......its easy n quick.Try it with Khichdi,Plain Rice with Ghee.hmmmmmmmmmm it delicious.

Tip : You can even try this with grinded tomatoes it takes lot of time to cook as there will be lot of water in it.

Tip : You can even keep this dish in the parties as a side dish,along with ur non veg dishes n all.Your Guests will love it.

Recipe for Baigan Ka Bharta

Ingredients :

One Large Baigan (you can easily get this in any market)
one Big onion bulb (nicely chopped)
6-8 Green Chillies (nicely chopped)
2-3 Tomatoes (nicely chopped)
Muttor (peas) 2 table spoon
Ginger Garlic Paste (one teaspoon)
Haldi/Turmeric pwdr 1/4th teaspoon
Red Chilli Pwdr (one teaspoon)
Salt ( according to taste)
Oil 1-2 tablespoon (if you health concious then add one tblspn,if u r food concious then add 2 :)
Kothmir (Coriander Leaves) one whole bunch or a fist full
Zeera pwdr half teaspoon

Cooking Method:

  • Slighty rub a drop of oil on the brinjal and roast/grill on the stove and keep turning it.Do remember that the skin of that brinjal shud turn into brown (that shows that its nicely cooked).
  • Take a big vessel or bowl,and put that roasted brinjal in it and keep it for a while and peel out the skin of the brinjal.Take out the crown of the brinjal and now mash the peeled brinjal with the Daal ghowtni or hand blender.
  • Take a non stick Sauce Pan or a Kadhai,add oil and then onions.Stir it for 5-7 minutes and then add greenchillie,ginger garlic paste,haldi,salt,red chilli pwdr,Muttor and tomatoes,keep stiring it untill the tomatoes gets tender.
  • Add mashed brinjal paste,zeera pwdr stir it for few minutes,kothmir.half cup of water,and leave it for 8-10 mints on slow flame.

Its done :) Have it with Roti or Rice.
